Gantry Removal

Kappara contractor will be removing a sign gantry in Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli tomorrow.  The crane will then move the gantry up the road.

Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli will remain accessible but traffic will be diverted to create a safety buffer for the operations. 

The slip road that leads up to the University roundabout will be inaccessible for a few hours.  Vehicles will be diverted to the tunnel below University roundabout. Vehicles must exit onto Triq il-Wied in Imsida to proceed towards Valletta or use Santa Venera roundabout for Birkirkara.

Works are scheduled between 06:00 and 13:00.

Kindly avoid the area whenever possible or else follow temporary signs and official’s instructions.  Respect the speed limit to ensure the safety of workers on site.

Resurfacing parts of Regional Road, Santa Venera

Resurfacing of Triq Reġjonali under Psaila Street Bridge

Transport Malta will be resurfacing parts of Triq Reġjonali, tonight at 20:30. 

Only one lane will be closed for traffic until 22:00.  After 22:00 both lanes will be closed.  Traffic will be diverted, through the bridge, up towards Triq Psaila and then down again to Triq Reġjonali.

The works are expected to be completed by the morning.

Transport Malta apologises for any inconvenience, asks drivers to follow temporary road signs and proceed with caution.
