Maintenance works in Triq ix-Xatt il-Gżira

Maintenance works in Triq ix-Xatt il-Gżira will resume as from Monday 11th April until Wednesday 13th April, daily from 09.00hrs onwards. Works are related to the Kappara Project.

During works, traffic towards Sliema will not be affected whilst traffic to Msida will be diverted onto Triq Ġnien il-Kunsill tal-Ewropa.

Public transport will not be affected.

Maintenance work in Triq ix-Xatt il-Gżira

Maintenance work will be carried out in Triq ix-Xatt il-Gżira from today until Wednesday 6th April, between 21:00hrs and 05:00hrs. Works are related to the Kappara Project.

During works, traffic towards Tas-Sliema will be diverted onto Triq D’Argens whilst traffic to l-Imsida will be diverted onto Triq Ġnien il-Kunsill tal-Ewropa. During the day, traffic will be allowed towards Tas-Sliema only.  Traffic to l-Imsida will be diverted onto Triq Ġnien il-Kunsill tal-Ewropa. 

Public transport will not be affected.

Resurfacing in San Ġwann

Asphalt works in Triq Stefanotis San Ġwann

 Transport Malta will be carrying out asphalt works at Triq Stefanotis San Ġwann between Wednesday 6^th April and Saturday 9^th April 2016. Works are related to the Kappara Project.

During the execution of these works, the road will be closed for vehicular traffic, which will be diverted on Vjal ir-Rihan onto Triq il-Mensija.

Works in Tal-Balal for Kappara

Updated - Works to continue from tonight, Wednesday 6th April until Friday 8th April between 21:00 and 06:00.

Maintenance work in Triq tal-Balal San Ġwann

Maintenance work will be carried out in Triq tal-Balal San Ġwann, today and tomorrow between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs. Works are related to the Kappara Project.

During works, traffic from San Ġwann to Naxxar will be diverted onto Triq Bellavista, San Ġwann Industrial Estate, junction near Mater Dei Hospital and Triq Dun Karm Birkirkara (Birkirkara bypass). Traffic coming from Naxxar to San Ġwann will be diverted onto Triq Ħal Għargħur and Triq Dun Karm Birkirkara (Birkirkara bypass).

Maintenance works in Triq Birkirkara San Ġwann

Preparatory works related to the Kappara Junction Project will continue in San Ġwann.

Resurfacing works will be carried out in Triq Birkirkara and the junction in the same road, today and tomorrow, from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs.  

Traffic coming from Triq L-Imrabat to San Ġwann  will be diverted onto Triq is-Sorijiet, Triq il-Qalb Imqaddsa and onto Triq Birkirkara. Traffic from Vjal ir-Rihan to Triq L-Imrabat will be diverted onto Triq Birkirkara, Triq Tas-Sliema towards Kappara roundabout, onto Triq Tas-Sliema Gżira towards Triq D’Argens. 

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.

Maintenance works in Triq Birkirkara San Ġwann

Preparatory works related to the Kappara Junction Project will continue in San Ġwann.

Resurfacing works will be carried out in Triq Birkirkara between 13^th and 14^th March 2016, from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs. 

During works, traffic from Triq il-Kulleġġ will be diverted onto Triq Sant’Enriku onto Triq Camenzuli onto Triq l-Imrabat and onto Triq Birkirkara.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.

Preparing for Kappara – San Ġwann

Maintenance works in Triq in-Naxxar and Vjal ir-Rihan San Ġwann

Resurfacing works will be carried out in Triq in-Naxxar and Vjal ir-Rihan San Ġwann between 29^th and 30^th March 2016, from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs.  This is part of the preparatory works related to the Kappara Junction Project.

During works, Triq in-Naxxar will be closed to one lane from the junction of Triq in-Naxxar with Triq Birkirkara up to the junction of Triq in-Naxxar with Triq il-Mensija.

In the meantime,  Vjal ir-Rihan will be closed to one lane.  Traffic procceding from San Gwann to Naxxar will be diverted onto Triq San Gwann ta’ l-Gharghar  and onto Triq Bellavista .

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.

Preparing for Kappara – Triq Bellavista

Maintenance works in Triq Bellavista San Ġwann

Transport Malta will resurface part of Triq Bellavista San Ġwann between 8^th and 10^th March 2016, from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs in preparation for the Kappara Junction Project.

During works, traffic from San Ġwann to Naxxar will be diverted onto Triq San Ġiljan and onto Triq Bellavista. Traffic from Naxxar to San Ġwann will be diverted onto Vjal in-Naspli, onto Vjal ir-Rihan and onto Triq San Ġwann tal-Għargħar towards Triq Bella Vista.

Getting ready for Kappara

Next phase of preparatory works in Triq Birkirkara related to Kappara Junction Project

Preparatory works in Triq Birkirkara, related to the Kappara Junction project will continue next week.   

Triq Birkirkara San Ġwann will be completely closed to vehicular traffic between Monday 15 and Saturday 27th February 2016 due to scarifying and asphalting works.

Public transport:

Route 120 from St. Julian’s to Mater Dei Hospital and return, will be diverted onto Triq R. Caruana Dingli to Triq Bellavista.  Route 110 will provide service between San Ġwann centre and Mater Dei Hospital.

Motorists are advised to follow diversion signs and instructions given by the officers on site.

Any inconvenience is regretted.

Preliminary works for Kappara Project

Preparatory works related to Kappara Junction Project

As part of the preparatory works related to the Kappara Junction project, Transport Malta will be resurfacing part of Triq Birkirkara San Ġwann.  One carriageway will be closed to vehicular traffic between Monday 25th and Friday 29th January 2016.

Traffic from Triq Tas-Sliema Kappara towards Triq in-Naxxar San Ġwann will not be obstructed.  Traffic from Triq in-Naxxar San Ġwann towards Triq Tas-Sliema Kappara will be diverted through alternative routes.

Public transport:

Route 120 from St. Julian’s to Mater Dei Hospital will be diverted onto Triq R. Caruana Dingli to Triq Bellavista.  No service will be provided in the area of San Ġwann Parish Church.  Journey to Pembroke  P & R will not be affected.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and to follow the diversion signs.
