The promise, a film with Christian Bale, will be filming in Valletta.

The following roads will be temporary closed to traffic:

Traffic management:

Triq Sant’Ursola from Triq San Ġwann to Triq l-Arċisqof will be closed to traffic. Vehicles will be diverted onto Triq San Kristofru.

Triq il-Lvant from Triq San Kristofru to Victoria Gate will be closed to traffic. Vehicles and public transport will be diverted onto Triq il-Mediterran to Xatt il-Barriera.

Date and time:

Between Sunday 18 October at noon and Monday 19 October at 20:00hrs

Between Tuesday 20 October at 16:00hrs and Thursday 22 October at 08:00hrs

The Tempest in Floriana

‘The Tempest’ partly filmed in Triq Sant’Anna Floriana

Triq Sant’Anna in Floriana will be closed to vehicular traffic between Friday 3^rd and Sunday 5^th July 2015, due to filming of ‘The Tempest’, as follows:

Friday 3^rd July between 19:30hrs and 02:00hrs

Saturday 4^th July between 13:30hrs and 02:00hrs

Sunday 5^th July between 10:00hrs and 02:00hrs

All vehicular traffic coming from Ħamrun or Marsa, including public transport, will be diverted onto Triq Sarria. Public transport proceeding from Valletta bus terminus will be diverted onto Triq il-Kapuċċini, Triq Nazzjonali and follow the normal route.

The Tempest filming – update

‘The Tempest’ partly filmed in Triq id-Durumblat Mosta – Road closure schedule as from today until Friday 26 June 2015

Due to filming of ‘The Tempest’, Triq id-Durumblat Mosta, from Triq il-Mitħna to Triq it-Torba, will be closed to vehicular traffic in both directions as follows:

Today 18 June between 21:00hrs and 01:00hrs

Friday 19 June between 14:00hrs and 02:00hrs

Monday 22 June to Friday 26 June between 14:00hrs and 02:00hrs

Traffic diversions:

Traffic proceeding from Triq St. Katerina Ħ’Attard will be diverted onto Triq il-Pitkali Ta’ Qali.  Traffic may also be diverted onto Triq it-Torba and onto Triq Pantar to reach Triq Valletta in Mosta.

Traffic proceeding from Triq Pantar will be diverted onto Triq St. Katerina and Triq il-Pitkali to reach Ta’ Qali area.

Traffic from Mosta towards Triq id-Durumblat will proceed to Ta’ Qali area to Triq il-Pitkali, Triq il-Mitħna or Triq Vjal l-Indipendenza.

Public Transport:

Bus route 205 coming from Rabat towards Mosta will proceed from Triq St. Katerina Ħ’Attard to Triq it-Torba, Triq Pantar, Mosta centre and follow the normal route towards Mosta church.

Bus route 205 coming from Naxxar towards Rabat will proceed from Technopark to Triq Pantar, Triq it-Torba, Triq St. Katerina and follow the normal route towards Ħ’Attard.

Triq id-Durumblat Mosta, from Triq il-Mitħna to Triq it-Torba, will be closed to vehicular traffic in both directions from Monday 15^th June to Friday 19^th June 2015 between 22:00hrs and 10:00hrs, due to filming of ‘The Tempest’.

Traffic proceeding from Triq St. Katerina Ħ’Attard will be diverted onto Triq il-Pitkali Ta’ Qali.  Traffic may also be diverted onto Triq it-Torba and onto Triq Pantar to reach Triq Valletta in Mosta.

‘The Tempest’ partly filmed in Kordin Industrial Estate

The filming of the film ‘The Tempest’ will continue in Kordin Industrial Estate.  The part of the Industrial Estate, close to the Hockey Club, will be closed for vehicles from Monday 8th June to Friday 12th June 2015 between 15:00hrs and 03:00hrs.

Traffic to and from Kordin Industrial Estate towards Dock 7 will be diverted onto Triq l-Isqof Buhagiar.

Access to Kordin Industrial Estate will be available at all times.

‘The Tempest’ partly filmed in Gżira

Part of Rue D’Argens, from Triq l-Imsida to Triq San Ġorġ, will be closed to vehicular traffic in both directions from Wednesday 3^rd June to Friday 5^th June between 18:00hrs and 06:00hrs.

Vehicular traffic proceeding from Rue D’Argens to Sliema will be diverted onto Triq Testaferrata.

Vehicular traffic proceeding from Rue D’Argens to Msida will be diverted onto Triq San Ġorġ and onto Triq Testaferrata.

Public Transport:

Bus route 32 from Savoy to Msida, will be diverted from Rue D’Argens onto Triq Tas-Sliema, Kappara roundabout, Tal-Qroqq roundabout, Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli, Xatt l-Imsida and follow the normal route towards Valletta.

Bus routes 12 and13 from Msida to Tas-Sliema Ferries will be diverted from Rue D’Arges onto Triq il-Prinċipessa Margerita, Triq Abate Rigord and follow the normal route towards Tas-Sliema Ferries. 

Bus route X2 Tas-Sliema Ferries to Mater Dei Hospital will be diverted from ix-Xatt tal-Gżira onto Triq Abate Rigord, Xatt l-Imsida, Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli, Tal-Qroqq roundabout and follow the normal route towards Mater Dei Hospital.

Bus routes 202 and 203 from Tas-Sliema Ferries to Mater Dei Hospital will follow the same diversion as bus route X2. Diversion applies for the return journey.

Bus route 22 from Msida to Savoy will be diverted from Msida junction to Triq Mikiel Anton Vassallo, Tal-Qroqq roundabout, Kappara roundabout, Triq Tas-Sliema, Rue D’Argens and follow the normal route.

Bus route 21 from Msida to Savoy will be diverted from Msida junction onto Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli, Tal-Qroqq roundabout, Kappara roundabout, Triq Tas-Sliema, Rue D’Argens and follow the normal route. Diversion applies for the return journey.

Traffic proceeding from Triq St. Katerina Ħ’Attard will be diverted onto Triq il-Pitkali Ta’ Qali.  Traffic may also be diverted onto Triq it-Torba and onto Triq Pantar to reach Triq Valletta in Mosta.

The Tempest partly filmed in Kordin Industrial Estate

The production of ‘The Tempest’ will be filming in Kordin Industrial Estate on Friday 22nd May.  Access to the site will be limited between 12:00hrs and 02:00hrs.

Triq il-Baċir will be closed for traffic. Vehicles coming through Dock 7 (ex Shipbuilding) will be diverted onto Triq it-Telgħa ta’ Raħal Ġdid while traffic from Triq Għajn Dwieli to Kordin will be diverted onto Triq L-Isqof Buhagiar.

‘The Tempest’ partly filmed in Telgħa Ras Ħanżir Paola

Telgħa Ras Ħanżir, Paola, will be closed to traffic from Sunday 10th May 2015 at 20:00hrs to Saturday 16th May 2015 at 20:00hrs.

Vehicular traffic will be diverted onto Triq Xiprits and onto Triq il-Baċir or onto Telgħa Raħal Ġdid.
