‘The Tempest’ partly filmed in Triq id-Durumblat Mosta

Triq id-Durumblat Mosta, from Triq il-Mitħna to Triq it-Torba, will be closed to vehicles in both directions on Monday 1^st June and Wednesday 3^rd June 2015 between 13:00hrs and 01:00hrs, due to filming of ‘The Tempest’.

Traffic proceeding from Triq St. Katerina Ħ’Attard will be diverted onto Triq il-Pitkali Ta’ Qali.  Traffic may also be diverted onto Triq it-Torba and onto Triq Pantar to reach Triq Valletta in Mosta.

Traffic proceeding from Triq Pantar will be diverted onto Triq St. Katerina and Triq il-Pitkali to reach Ta’ Qali area.

Traffic from Mosta towards Triq id-Durumblat will proceed to Ta’ Qali area to Triq il-Pitkali, Triq il-Mitħna or Triq Vjal l-Indipendenza.

Public Transport:

Bus route 205 coming from Rabat towards Mosta will proceed from Triq St. Katerina Ħ’Attard to Triq it-Torba, Triq Pantar, Mosta centre and follow the normal route towards Mosta church.

Bus route 205 coming from Naxxar towards Rabat will proceed from Technopark to Triq Pantar, Triq it-Torba, Triq St. Katerina and follow the normal route towards Ħ’Attard.

Water Services laying a main in St. Julian’s

Laying of Sewer Main by the Water Services Corporation

The Water Services Corporation is laying a sewer main in St. Julian’s.

Part of Triq Birkirkara, between Triq Arċisqof Romero and Triq il-Kulleġġ, will be closed for traffic as from Monday 1^st June 2015.  These works are scheduled to be completed within a month.

All vehicles  coming from San Gwann towards Sliema will be diverted onto Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli (Triq Reġjonali) and onto Triq Reggie Miller towards Rue D’Argens. Traffic coming from Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli towards Sliema will proceed straight from the tunnels to Triq Reggie Miller.

Traffic coming from Triq l-Imrabat Sliema will be diverted onto Triq is-Sorijiet and onto Triq il-Qalb Imqaddsa towards Triq Birkirkara San Gwann.  Traffic may also be diverted onto Triq il-Kulleġġ towards Triq it-Torri.

Public Transport:

Bus routes 22  coming from Rue D’Argens will be diverted onto Triq Reggie Miller near Zammit Clapp Hospital, proceed towards Kappara roundabout, onto Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli direction to the tunnels and follow the normal route to San Gwann.

Bus route 24and 32 in Ta’ Ġiorni and the bus routes in San Gwann will be diverted onto Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli, through the tunnels and onto Triq Reggie Miller near Zammit Clapp Hospital and onto Rue D’Argens.

New Sand in Dawret il-Gżejjer Buġibba

Sand Replenishment in Dawret il-Gżejjer Buġibba by The Malta Tourism Authority

The Malta Tourism Authority will be replenishing the sand at the beaches in Dawret il-Gżejjer, Buġibba.  The road will be closed for traffic as from Thursday 28^th May at 06:00hrs to Saturday 30^th May 2015 at 20:00hrs.

Vehicles coming from Buġibba centre towards Triq it-Turisti will be diverted onto Triq l-Imsell or onto Triq Dolmen.

Traffic coming from Qawra will be diverted onto Triq Għawdex.

Public Transport:

Bus Routes 12, 45, 31, 221, and X3 proceeding to Buġibba bus terminus will be diverted onto Triq id-Dolmen and onto Triq it-Turisti. Diversion does not apply to exit the bus terminus.

Promotional Fair in Marsa

A promotional fair is being organised in Marsa on Thursday 28^th May and Friday 29^th May 2015 between 16:30hrs and 23:30hrs. Triq Belt il-Ħażna Marsa, between Triq is-Salib tal-Marsa and Triq Sannat, will be closed for traffic.

All vehicles coming from Triq Belt il-Ħażna will be diverted onto Triq Sannat and onto Triq is-Salib tal-Marsa.

Traffic coming from Albert Town area will be diverted onto Triq is-Salib tal-Marsa and onto Triq Sannat.

Resurfacing works in Triq Dawret il-Gudja, Gudja, will be carried out at night on Monday 25th May and Tuesday 26th May 2015 between 19:00hrs and 05:00hrs.

Traffic towards Ħal Għaxaq will be diverted onto Vjal l-Avjazzjoni, onto Triq Kunsill tal-Ewropa, onto Triq tal-Barrani and onto Triq Ħal Tarxien to reach Ħal Għaxaq.

Traffic towards Żurrieq and Ħal Far will not be affected.

Triq ix-Xatt ta’ San Gorg will be closed to vehicular traffic as from Monday 25^th May at 06:00hrs to Wednesday 27^th May 2015 in the evening, due to sand replenishment in St George’s Bay.

Vehicular traffic coming from Pembroke will be diverted onto Triq il-Professur Ganado and onto Triq Sant Andrija.

Vehicular traffic coming from Triq Santu Wistin will be diverted onto Triq id-Dragonara.

Public Transport:

Bus Route 205 coming from Triq il-Mediterran will proceed onto Triq il-Professur Ganado towards Bahar iċ-Ċagħaq and will follow the normal route.

Bus Route 102 coming from Triq il-Mediterran will proceed onto Triq il-Professur Ganado towards Paceville and will follow the normal route towards Spinola Bay.

Celebrations in Birkirkara

The Final of MFA’s  F.A. Trophy will be held on Saturday 23rd May 2015. Should Birkirkara win Triq il-Wied Birkirkara, from Triq in-Naxxar to Triq Fleur De Lys, will be closed between 19:15hrs and 24:00hrs.

Vehicles coming from Triq Mannarino will be diverted onto Triq Fleur De Lys. Traffic coming from Triq in-Naxxar will proceed to Ħal Balzan.

Filming of the Tempest moves to Kordin Industrial Estate

The Tempest partly filmed in Kordin Industrial Estate

The production of ‘The Tempest’ will be filming in Kordin Industrial Estate on Friday 22nd May.  Access to the site will be limited between 12:00hrs and 02:00hrs.

Triq il-Baċir will be closed for traffic. Vehicles coming through Dock 7 (ex Shipbuilding) will be diverted onto Triq it-Telgħa ta’ Raħal Ġdid while traffic from Triq Għajn Dwieli to Kordin will be diverted onto Triq L-Isqof Buhagiar.

Water main in San Ġwann

Laying of water main in San Ġwann.

The Water Services Corporation is laying a water main in San Ġwann. The corporation will be resurfacing parts of Triq Birkirkara, San Ġwann tomorrow and on Friday.

Traffic towards San Ġwann will be diverted through triq il-Kuċċard while vehicles going towards Sliema will not be affected.

Works will start after 09:00 in the morning.
